Mildred B. Coursey, 83, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Mrs. Coursey was July 3, 1938 in Hugo, Oklahoma to the late Ben and Evelyn Butler.
She was married for over fifty years to the late Edward R. Coursey and was an active member of the Poplar Bluff community in various capacities. She was a member of Brown Chapel AME Church, Order of Eastern Star, (Silas R. Thompson #113), and was employed as a fiscal accountant at the John R. Pershing V.A. Center for many years until her retirement.
Mrs. Coursey is survived by a son, Dwayne (Kristy) Coursey, two grandchildren, Aaliyah and William Coursey, all of Poplar Bluff along with other family members, her Masonic and Church family.
Services are scheduled for Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Wheatley School Building, 921 Garfield St., Poplar Bluff, Mo. Visitation will begin at 10 am until time of service at 11 am with Rev. William Harrold officiating. Burial will follow at City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
Driver Funeral Service of Sikeston, Mo. is in charge of arrangements and services.
