Milton I. Coon was born on February 10, 1943 in Port Huron, Michigan, the son of the late Preston and Vivian Coon and passed away on March 2, 2018 at the age of 75. He graduated from Port Huron High School in 1961 and served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. Milton retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Preston, Jr. and Dale Coon. Milton is survived by his first wife, Rosemary Rich; their children, son, Steven (Kristen) Coon; daughter, Susan (Joseph) Picarello; his wife of 44 years, Sue; children, Michael, Lisa and Mark (Heather) Hagerman; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, Rd., DeWitt, MI 48820. The family will receive friends from 4-8 pm on Monday, March 5, 2018 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 pm on March 6, 2018 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI. For those desiring, contributions in Milton's memory may be made to Hospice House of Mid Michigan, 1210 W. Saginaw St., Lansing, MI 48915.
