Myrtle Hollin, 102, of Columbus died 9:15 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2018, at Four Seasons Health Care Center.
Myrtle was born November 19, 1915 in Manchester, Kentucky, the daughter of Joseph and Sarah Louise Ealy Smallwood. She married Wilburn Hollin January 13. 1934; he preceded her in death March 26, 1998.
For 40 years she lived 6 months in Columbus and 6 months in Trailer Estates in Bradenton Florida. She was member of The Church of God in Columbus. She loved to sew and give to friends and family. She was an avid Bingo player at Trailer Estates in Bradenton.
She is survived by children; Gracie Cole of Columbus, Micki (Wayne) Fulp of Columbus and Will (Ruthann) Hollin of Columbus; son-in-law Alvin Fowler; brother, Larry (Rita) Smallwood of Hamilton, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Veda Smallwood and Edith Smallwood; grandchildren, Michael and Dennis Hollin, Melody Burton, Annette (Wayne) Moore, Darrell (Carman) Cole, Christopher Fowler, Andrea (Tracy) Fowler Nelson, Link (Carrie) Fulp, Leah (Jeff) Fulp Weaver, Barri (Gary) Grieger, Mike George and Mark Weatherald; 22 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son, Leon Hollin; daughter, Fran Fowler; brothers, O.B. (Martha) Smallwood, I.V. (Mable) Smallwood, Herman, A.D. and Verlin Smallwood; sister, Mae Gray; grandchildren, Melissa Corya and Lydia Ann Fulp.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow in Garland Brook Cemetery. Online condolence may be sent to the family at www.myers-reed.com.
Memorials may be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
