Nannie S. Pangle
Nannie S. Pangle, 84, of Waynesboro, passed away at 8 a.m. on Sunday, July 11, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on March 17, 1926, in Swoope, the daughter of the late Robert A. and Sallie G. Kornegay Smith.
She was a member of Grottoes Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Megginson and three brothers.
On July 10, 1947, she was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Ray A. Pangle, who took care of her every need.
In addition to her husband, survivors include her three daughters all of Waynesboro, Donna Haney and her husband, Garry, Debbie Berry and her husband, Tom, and Teresa Ervin and her husband, Bill; eight grandchildren, Cameron Harlow and his wife, Adela, Amanda Showker and her husband, Shane, Joshua Haney and his wife, Joy, Lori Durie, Thomas Durie and his wife, Angela, Zach Ervin, Miranda Ervin, Lindsey Megginson, Victoria Berry, seven great-grandchildren, Norrin Harlow, Madisan Springel, Dylan Durie, Landon Hite, Caleb Ervin, Brady Haney, Amber Burgess, Larry Baumiller and Riley Showker; two great-great- grandchildren, Abigail Baumiller and Khriy Burgess; a sister, Shirley Graham; a sister-in-law, Vivian Peyton; two brothers-in-law, Russell Pangle, Jim Pangle and his wife, Lucille.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Augusta Memorial Park by Pastors Roger A. Hart and Joshua Haney.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home, friends will be received at the residence.
Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 215 Fishersville, VA 22939.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
