PENNIPEDE Nicholas Anthony Pennipede, 22, of Leawood, KS, died suddenly on Sunday, June 23, 2013. Born in Shawnee Mission, KS as an early Christmas gift on December 22, 1990, Nick was the cherished son of Vince and Sandy Pennipede. As a youngster, he attended Nativity Parish School in Leawood. A natural athlete, Nick lent his talents to many sports. He attended Rockhurst High School and Loyola University, Chi- cago. Most recently, Nick completed his junior year at Kansas University, where he was majoring in cellular bi- ology and minoring in Italian. Nick reserved a special place in his heart for all things Italian. He loved Italy and made it his own. He shared that love with his family who sur- vives him: his grieving parents, Vince and Sandy; his loving brother, Dante; his Aunt Carla and Uncle Tony (NJ); and his Aunt Nancy and Uncle Steve (TX). A big personality with a wicked sense of humor, Nick didn't just dip his toe into the ocean of life, he jumped in head first. He made us laugh, he made us cry and we will miss him terribly. He left us far too soon. Visitation will be held at Church of the Nativity, 3800 West 119th, Lea- wood, KS, on Monday, July 1st at 10:30 a.m., with a Mass to follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the fam- ily requests that donations be made in Nick's name to Nativity Parish School, Leawood, KS or Rockhurst High School, Kansas City, MO.
