Born April 5th, 1929 to the late Frederick V. and Mary Davies. She passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2019 at the QEII hospital with her family by her side. She is survived by her loving husband George, her daughters Terrie (Norman) Greencorn, Gail LeBlanc, Barb, and Sandi (Bruce) Thompson. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Ricky, Sarah (Wade), Krista, George (Vanessa), Danielle (Matt), Travis, Brittany (Jonathan), Stuart, and Sammie. Nanny adored her great-grandchildren Blake, Paige, and Ava. She was predeceased by 6 brothers and is survived by her brother Perc, sisters-in-law Betty (Davies), Shirley (Kane), and brother-in-law Doug (Marie) Findlay as well as many nieces and nephews

Nora was involved in the community having served as President of Halifax Jaycettes, Chairwoman of the 1963 JC National Convention; President of the Halifax Lionettes; President of the Mayflower Ladies Curling Club; a Founding Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Halifax Civic Hospital; and secretary of the Scouts Canada Halifax North District Council. She was a 60 year member of Beta Sigma Phi, having served on the executive of various chapter levels as well as their city council.

She was an elegant lady with a wonderful sense of humour. We were blessed to have had her for 89 years.

There will be no visitation by request. The funeral mass will be celebrated Friday February 15th, 2019 at 11am at St. Theresa's Church, North St. Halifax, with a reception to follow the mass. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to your charity of choice. A sincere thanks to the staff on 8.1 at the QEII, their kindness will not be forgotten.

I am sure there is a Radcliffe Drive reunion underway. Nor will be welcomed with open arms by her downstairs neighbours Cliff and Shirley. She was a great friend to them and they loved her dearly.
