Normal Louise Hillis, 67, of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Born to James D. and Estelle (Wright) Brackin, Norma was a homemaker. She was involved with the Circle of Hope Cancer center as well as St. Jude. Norma collected bears, angels, cardinals, and snowmen. She very generously donated her bear collection to the State and local police departments along with Medic One to give to children. Norma also loved to shop, especially after the holidays when all of the sales were going on. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hillis; brother, Joey Brackin; and sisters, Betty Satterwhite and Sara Jo Brackin. Norma leaves her children, Cyndi Hillis Holdaway of Blytheville, Scott Hillis of Jonesboro, and Billy Hillis and his wife Terri of Warrior, Alabama; sisters, Lease Carr and Jackie of Blytheville, Dorothy David of Blytheville, Sue David and Richard of Jonesboro, Shirley David of Pauline, South Carolina, Bobbie Walters of Blytheville, Barbara Raspberry of Weekly Co., Tennessee, and Patsy Hyatt of Rome, Georgia; and grandson, Garrett Melvin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2nd at 11:00 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She was a special lady. Our hearts hurt because she left us but we are thankful knowing she is pain free and that she is reunited with loved ones. Love and Prayers to Cyndi, Billy and Scott.
