Norma Lee Bias Hood, 86 of Charleston, passed away on January 23, 2015 after a short illness. She was born in Huntington, WV on December 13, 1928. Norma Graduated from Huntington High School in 1946 and began working at C & P Telephone in Huntington the same year. She worked at the Huntington office for 23 years until transferring to the Charleston office in 1969. She worked as chief operator until her retirement in 1985. She was an avid reader and loved to do word puzzles. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Hobart and Leona Bias, and by a brother, Felix Bias. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harold Hood; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gayle Hood of DeWitt, Michigan; three grandchildren, Dustin, Matthew, and Jacob Hood; sister, Pat Coon of Milton, WV. A service to honor the life of Norma Hood will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday January 27 at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston. Entombment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston.
