Now and then I worked on one of Carpy's crews in the early 1960s. I have always remembered him fondly as a kind, thoughtful, and compassionate man. There ought to be more like him on the Earth; we would have a better life, all of us, for his presence and example. I am sure he will be missed by all who loved him, but they will all be the better for having known him. A fine man indeed, God love him.
