It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Lane Gentry, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who departed this life on Tuesday, October 28th, 2025, at the age of 93. Patricia was born on Thursday, October 13th, 1932, in Blakely, Georgia, where she spent her entire life surrounded by family and friends.
Patricia was a dedicated and hardworking individual, retiring as an Office Manager from Early Tractor Company after many years of service. Her commitment to her work was only surpassed by her devotion to her family and her faith. A lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely, Patricia was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Clayton Gentry, her parents, James Paramore Lane and Alma Johnson Lane, and her siblings, Eunice Brown, Edna Williams, Jewel Mosely, Mary Lou Sims, Sybil Lane, and Harold Lane.
Patricia leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her daughters, Brenda G. Harris (Tim) and Sandra G. Busby (Tracy), both of Blakely, GA; her grandchildren, Clay Hunt (Brooke), Justin Hunt (Heather), Aaron Busby (Emily), all of Blakely, and Heath Busby (Casey Corley) of Newton, GA; and her great-grandchildren, Henley Hunt, Rocky Busby, Mae Busby, and Jeda Busby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service to honor Patricia's life will be held at Pine Lawn Gardens Cemetery in Blakely, GA, on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Chris Guffey officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home.
Patricia Lane Gentry will be remembered for her warmth, her dedication to her family, and her steadfast faith. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
