Patsy Lynn Vaught, age 68, of Science Hill, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at UK Hospital in Lexington.
Patsy was born on March 28, 1957 in Somerset, the daughter of Lawrence Weddle and Helen Minton Weddle. Patsy was a lifelong member of Carter Ridge Baptist Church, Patsy was a lover and a giver….. especially when it came to her family. She loved Elvis Presley and she enjoyed the Gourmet Gals Cooking Club. She married Robert “Bob” Vaught on December 17, 1983 and they shared 40 years of marriage prior to his passing on January 10, 2023.
She is survived by her son, Stacy (Nikki) Vaught of Somerset, KY; one stepson, Thomas (Laura) Vaught of Ft. Myers, FL; her daughter, Erica Vaught (David Barber) of Somerset, KY; one stepdaughter, Amy (Benjamin) Mudd of Glasgow, KY; three grandchildren, Xavier Roysdon, Alexis Vaught and Jazmyn Vaught; her brother, Glen Weddle of Science Hill; sister-in-law, Sandra Weddle of Nancy; her “grandcat” April; extended family members, neighbors and friends who are saddened by her passing.
Along with her parents, Lawrence and Helen Weddle, and her husband, Robert “Bob” Vaught; Patsy was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon Weddle and James Ray Weddle; her sister, JoAnn Reynolds; and one granddaughter, Angel Loveless.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Her funeral service will follow on Thursday, September 18th at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro Mark Yaden officiating. Burial will be at Carter Ridge Cemetery.
