I remember Paul from his USMS Basic Training Class. I was the Class coordinator and Lead Instructor. There were 4or5 Recruits in that Class that were from the Boston area but had been given their first assignment in Washington DC. This was an amazing group of young men! I extend my deepest condolences to the Ahern family. I remember the tough early days of working in DC Marhals office cellblock with Paul. A person of respect.

My condolences to the Ahern family. I worked a detail with Paul years ago in New York. I was much younger and still naive. He gave me some pearls of wisdom and I immediately knew he was right. I can still picture it, where we were standing and the seriousness his thoughts. A great man, may he rest in peace.

I knew Paul from his earliest days with the U.S. Marshals Service... I was one of his USMS Basic Training instructors at FLETC and then worked with him throughout our respective careers with the Marshals. I will always think of Paul as a very kind, unassuming and determined individual. It has always been an honor and blessing to be able to say that I knew and worked with him!
