Grandfather, I'm saddened that I never got the chance to know you better. I have a picture of you, grandma and me when I was a baby and then another when my daughter was a baby. These are the memories I cherish.

My fondest memories of Grandpa were visiting during Easter as a child. Since he was color blind, Nathan and I would hold up easter eggs and have him guess what colors they were. He, of course, would call out absurd answers just to make us laugh. We will miss you Grandpa. Save us a spot in Heaven.

You were a true believer in our country and the patriotism that our country misses very much.
You will be remembered as a man who truly believed in his family and country. You will be sorely missed.

Dad, I miss you as we all do. I am sure you finally got to where the water flows like sherry wine. Rest in peace.
