PAUL JOSEPH

Rabbi Joseph was not only the first Rabbi of our growing congregation on the Monterey Peninsula he also became a close lifelong friend. Though miles and decades separated us, we were never really far apart. "Hi Charles, it's Paul, how are you doing?" Troubled at times, he fought his way through difficulties, and was always an inspiration, a brilliant orator, insightful and he frequently challenged us to do better things. I loved Paul the man. He will forever be in my thoughts.

May his memory be for a blessing

I only knew him for a brief period many years ago, but my memories of Paul are indelibly etched in my mind. My family moved to CRS in the mid-1970's, and especially as a teenager, he played a very nice counterpoint to that of Rabbi Hirschberg. May his memory be a blessing.

So sad to hear this news. I have fond memories of Rabbi Joseph from my years at the 92nd Street Y back in the 90s. My condolences to his entire family. His memory is a blessing.

We may not have always been in touch but I believe we were always connected. You made such a difference in my life.
