To the Thompson-Veley Family: Michelle, I met you at my cousins George and Mae Hick's home some years ago, while I was visiting from Oakland California. I am deeply grieved to hear of your loss. Your mother was a dear friend, in fact, we attended middle school (Lincoln Jr. Hi) together. The last time I saw her was at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in May of 2005, there in Bakersfield. My prayers and my sympathy are with all of you. It saddens me to hear of my sister's falling asleep in death. She is at peace now and we know that Jehovah will bring her back in his new world. So continue to stay close to Jehovah and ask him for strength to get through these difficult times.

To the family of my dear sister, Paulette.
I will miss her dearly but am so thankful it will only be for a short time till she is back with us in a much better world. Stay strong, for the best thing you can do for her would be to stay loyal to Jehovah. That will guarantee your joyful reunion.
These will be sad days but soon the happier days will overshadow the sadness. Paulette has been through her tribulation and is now at peace while we still face the future.
