Dr. Peter Bartsch

I
worked with Dr. Bartsch right out of nursing school in Labor and
Delivery at Memorial Hospital in Belleville starting in 1970. I later
became the nurse manager and have many wonderful memories of his caring
and professionalism with his patients. He was truly an excellent OB/GYN
physician. I can remember calling him for an admission and his words
"Do ze routine"......in his wonderful accent. He was well respected by
all the nursing staff. Please accept my sympathy

Dr. Bartsch was my doctor and my friend. He was careful in treating the 'whole person' and helped my husband and I 'acquire' our family. His children were dear to us. Michael and Stephanie are remembered fondly as well as their father. Our kindest regard to his wife and children. We have lost a true gentlman and friend. He will be sorely missed.

I was a nurse in Labor and Delivery at Anderson Hospital for many years. I worked closely with Dr. Bartsch during many deliveries. He was a consummate professional and I remember him fondly. I was back in the IL area recently and had asked if anyone knew where he had moved. My deepest sympathies to his family.

dr bartsch delivered my daughter in 1972 and i thought he was the kindest man i ever met. he made his uneasy patients feel like they were old friends. we have lost a very good man.

I have never had the opportunity to meet Dr. Bartsch...at least not that I remember. We did meet, however, on January 1, 1974. He delivered me at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. My mom was only 18 and very young and very small. I weighed 12 pounds 12 ounces. He was a superior doctor that delivered me with minimal problems for my mother and for myself. Thank you, Dr. Bartsch. May God be with your family as they grieve.
