I was sorry and stunned to just learn of Pete's death. He and I were fraternity brothers at Duquesne University in the late 1960s. He was a person who had a great capacity for friendship, a keen intelligence, and a wry sense of humor. He had dark good looks, and I liked to kid him that he resembled Desi Arnaz.
