Not sure what to say?

Will never, ever forget you, Phil. You were taken from us all way too early. I too well know the pain in your heart, Lori. Tony

Lori, I did not know until I recently read your message under my Karey's obituary on the Dignity Memorial website. I have thought about you and Phil many, many times and remember all of those challenging times that Phil and I had together. Now, our DC is empty, but I will never forget the guidance Phil gave to me, both in Wilsonville and in Woodland during the years that we worked together. I can't convey my sorrow to you, and only hope that time has helped you to heal. He lived larger...

To the family,
I have to say a big thank you for sharing Phil with the rest of us. While I didn't spend much time with Phil, he played a major part in my life. It was Phil that gave in and hired me at PayLess Drugs so many years ago. This began a 17 year relationship, and the launch of my career. Phil was a bigger then life guy in my book and will always be near and dear to my heart. Hold close the memories and enjoy the love he still shares now.

Dear Precious Lori, What a joy and pleasure to meet you the "Love of Phils life". July 9, 2011 was a special gathering in Portland, Oregon to say "See ya Later" to Phil and to celebrate the life saving liver transplant that Dale South had. Meeting and hugging you and Dale was the best part. As I read through these stories I can't help but laugh and think "dang it, I wish Phil Carroll had really been my bro." Be strong my friend and enjoy those moments when Phil is with you in a breeze, in...

Phil; you will be missed by so many and I hate to say the word Good-bye. There are so many stories to share. Remember when Lori would make the hot dog roll ups for a potluck at the warehouse and when you got to work the bowl was empty? Remember losing your $1 thrift store hat in Mexico and having to pay $5 to get it back after the driver jumped in the street to get it? Remember the pillars of Rome (Oregon) and the two room motel? And the party night in Winnemucca? Boy, some good times. My...

I knew Phil in high school. I went to Cleveland and dated one of his best friends John Cavagna. We had lots of fun double dating. Phil was a funny, sweet guy. The last time I saw him was at John's funeral. I'm glad to know he had a wonderful life with Lori. I have fond memories of him.

Hey, OLD PHART, sitting here reminiscing about the last 48 years. Phew! long time. Anyway, I was thinking about when you had me smuggle burgers and fries up to your hospital room after that first knee surgery. Yeah, I know, hospital food just wasn't working for you. Then I remembered that trip to Ka-nee-ta, I was driving your volvo. Why didn't you tell me that you were having BRAKE problems with your car. 30 miles to the next gas station and no brakes. Then, I remembered "the race" from...

Philby. You know that section in Readers Digest, "The most unforgettable person" well my friend, you are the " most unforgettable person" in our lives. You are the best story teller, and left us with some of the best stories to tell others of our journeys with you. You have left us with memories that bring us to tears from laughter. What wonderful memories. We feel so blessed to have you as our friend, and to be so close to your family. We love your family as ours. We are so proud of...

I will never forget two events. One, we were in Portland and there was some scary youngsters blocking the road; while we murmured inside the car, Phil got out and made friends with them! The other was when we went to a bar and Phil shook hands and introduced himself to everyone seated on the stools. Phil is so cool! Glad to hear you're getting Philbert sightings! Love you all, Jill
