Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy. Phillip and Were childhood friends who grew up down the street from each other. He was such a kind guy with such a sweet spirit. It breaks my heart we have lost a Cardinal. (That was our mascot in high school). He was coming to our 45th. Now Im sad to know why. He was sick. Bless you Phillip, Soar High Our Sweet Cardinal.

John and I are so saddened to hear of Phil's passing. We met Phil and Wong in our travels and never met two warmer or genuine people and were privileged to get to see them several times over the years. Our greatest sympathies to his family and friends, and most especially to Wong.

My deepest sympathies. I am so glad we got to see you guys and spend time with you. Although i didn't know you well I think you guys were my friend. Please keep in touch.

Though long from my sight, forever in my heart. Somewhere in the brick and mortar of the church we helped to build, your song will live forever. In my mind I will see you healthy, strong, and smiling... seated at your piano and singing as only you could. Bless you, dear Phil, and rest in peace until we meet again. My sincere condolences to Wong at this saddest of times. May you find peace in happy memories.

Phil and Wong started 13 years ago as simply my neighbors living across the street from my husband and myself. A few years ago, I decided that after 55 years of not playing the piano, Id like to give it a try again. Im not certain exactly how poor Phil got roped into being my piano teacher, but ........
Every week, for 6 months, I would see Phil ... after a long day at work, gather himself up, walk across the street, come through the front door and steel himself for an hour of what had...

What a fine person you are. All are better people to have known you and have you in our lives. Rest our brother and you will be missed. Sing to our friends which we will never forget. Love, Amy and Kevin Bell

From working with you while leading the youth bells and childrens chimes to playing in the orchestra and Angelus bells to traveling with you on 55+ excursions, we had some good times. You were always a joy to be around. I loved hearing your gorgeous tenor voice sing especially your O Holy Night on Christmas Eve! Your love, acceptance, generosity and talent will be missed dearly!

Phil was a light to so many with his music and friendship. We join in the fond remembrance and celebration of his life.

Party Animals

For over 20 years, Phil was a beloved friend, and the 5 years we worked together at John Wesley were some of the most memorable of my life (including some great stories I can't share here). We shared good times and bad, celebrated and commiserated, and made some beautiful music. We could go for months without seeing each other, then pick right up where we left off the last time we were together. This time apart will be longer, but I'm sure the reunion will be the same as it always has...
