"Kemo Sabe"

This man swept me off my feet when I had just moved to Louisville. I had no idea I was in for such a grand time. Horses were our passion and I have never met such a horse whisperer. Phillip means lover of horses and his parents had him pegged. We had many foals together at Saratoga Farm and I will always cherish those times. I am so thankful to have known such a kindhearted man. He never met a stranger and he was always the life of the party. I will always have a place in my heart for Lane....

What devastating news to all that knew Lane! I seen this on the news and at the time I didn't realize it was Lane. He was an old friend of mine and my sister back in the early 1980's. He was such a good friend, lost contact over the years, but I have never forgot him. Rest in peace Lane.

My deepest condolences

Love from Aunt Barbara

Lane Foote was a man of many talents and sensitivities: an expert horseman, prolific gardener, a wonderful cook, a generous soul, a good friend. I have known him since he was six years old; he was my nephew.
My heart is broken for the Foote family, and especially his grandchildren who will not in share his special gifts.
Lane had a western Kentucky accent like none other, which I will miss, and his throaty laugh. I am glad to have known and loved him; I always will.

Lane you will be missed as the father of my granchildren. Life has its battles and I pray you will rest in peace.

Although I didn't know this man, it deeply saddened my heart when I heard what happened. It made me realize at any given time we can be made to leave this earth, without any advance notice to our loved ones. This was a rare instance, I work this street, it's on my bus route...it's a quiet street around that time Mr. Foote was taken...my guess is that this gentle soul was much needed else where...MY deepest condolences to his beautiful family AND warm hugs, support, and positive healing...

I am so saddened to hear this. I went to high school with Lane and Stuart. Much to young to leave this earth. Lane was always so kind. My condolences to his family.
