I am saddened to hear of your loss. Pierre was a very dear friend from our time in Boston and although i hadn't seen him since 1985, we managed to stay in touch nevertheless. I learned of his passing while reading a local Lebanese paper this morning. May he RIP. Pierre Chivi, Dubai, UAE.

Nancy, I was saddened to hear the news about Pierre. He was a tremendously stimulating friend and colleague, and I have great memories of him, particularly from my time with the NMR team in Houston. I offer my sincere condolences.

Nancy and kids, ran into Mark Vershuren, who let me know. Pierre's kindness was most evident when I mangled his last name upon pronouncing it for the first time. I let him know my name was also frequently mispronounced. Pierre appreciated stability, worked towards providing it to his family and to those around him. I hope the space he left behind in this world is somehow replace with the love and support of your family and friends. Heart felt sympathies,
