Not sure what to say?

I met Captain Preston several years ago. He was a very interesting man, and had knowledge of various topics that he liked to discuss and present. He will be missed. My prayers and condolences go out to his family.

Ralph was a friend and mentor for many years.
He will be missed. He will be remembered.

Condolences to Ralph's family and friends. In such a sad time I hope it helps you to know that Ralph had such a positive impact on the world and the people around him. His passing affects so many because of the man he was. As a father, a husband, a friend, a preservationist, and so much more, Ralph was a stellar example for us all. He will be missed, but he will be remembered.

R.I.P. old friend.

To the daughters of Ralph Preston, our prayers for you in this time of sorrow. He spoke often of you. Those of us in the Civil War re-enactment community, especially the CSS Virginia, will miss him greatly. God bless you and keep you.

Valerie and Vanassa,Words cannot express the sorrow I felt when you told me that Ralph had passed. I can't imagine the degree of suffering that you are also going through. Ralph was a good friend and a mentor to me for many years and had a positive influence on my life. The memories and events we shared will always be with me. The world is a poorer place without him.

Valerie and Vanassa, I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. I know what you are going through. It will not get better but it wil change over time. You know that he is with your mom in heaven. That will give you comfort but it still hurts that he is not with you. He had a great life and it was God's time for him to go home to him. I know that does not help but you will get better. I promise. Call me if you need me.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Ralph. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.

I met Ralph at Wendy's a number of years ago, and spent a lot of enjoyable evenings listening to him talk about his many and varied life experiences. I know he is in heaven right now sharing his stories with old friends and new acquaintances!

Captain Preston was a great guy, and a friend of mine.
