When Dr. Saavedra was just starting out, and the family lived in Forest Park and then Oak Park, I baby-sat for their children. He was a very quiet man that was dedicated to his work and loved his family more than anything. He wanted the very best for each of his children and for his cherished Betty. I have wonderful memories of his beautiful guitar playing & singing when they had parties at their home and I remember how much it made me wish that I could play guitar & sing like that. He lived...

Tio, thank you for being a beautiful person. You made us laugh and sing throughout your life. Thank you for being such great friends with my parents. We love you and will always honor your legacy as a Bolivian, doctor, husband, father and friend.
