Rhoda K. Diwis, 52, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on September 10, 2023, and it is with profound sadness that the family makes this announcement about their beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Born on September 26, 1970, she lived a life filled with passion, innovation, and love for her family and community. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Rhoda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Stella and William Kithara, and by her cherished daughter, Sophie K. Diwis. The legacy of her kind spirit and boundless determination is carried on by her devoted husband, Durand A. Diwis; her son, Christophe W. Diwis; her sisters, Jane (Dickson) Gitobu and Lea (Joseph Kiara) Kithara; and her brothers, Mathew (Carol) Kithara, Philip (Crystal) Kithara, and Brian Kithara. Throughout her professional career, Rhoda showcased a talent for both analytical thinking and technological innovation, at Brotherhood Mutual Insurance Company, she served as a Sr. Programmer Analyst and later as a Sr. Business Analyst for over 15 years. Her dedication and expertise were evident in every project she undertook. Moving forward, Rhoda expanded her horizons by working at Ambassador Enterprises before joining the team at Sweetwater as an e-commerce Solution Engineer. Not one to be constrained by convention, Rhoda's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly when she developed transformative transportation software. Today, her ingenious creation continues to benefit companies and schools in her native Kenya, aiding them in effectively tracking their buses. Above all, Rhoda was a beacon of love, kindness, and generosity. She touched countless lives, both personally and professionally. Her laughter was contagious, her wisdom immeasurable, and her capacity for love knew no bounds. Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her legacy of love, resilience, and innovation will forever remain etched in our hearts. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Brotherhood Mutual Auditorium, 6400 Brotherhood Way, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46825. A private family burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Greenlawn Funeral Home, Fort Wayne has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
