Not sure what to say?

The service was extraordinary. Thanks to those would could make it, and for the beautiful thoughts and wishes sent by those who could not. Thanks to the amazing Lois for her lovely rendition of Amazing Grace, the funny and sad comments from Dave, all those who shared their memories of my dad with us (never knew until yesterday why my dad hated chicken!), the amazing Honor Guard that made us cry and took our breath away, and Pastor Paul who pulled everything together. I will try to upload...

Dick had an impact on the lives and futures of thousands of young men and women, both as an enlisted education services specialist and then as a counselor and Education Officer in the Air Force. That has had a ripple effect across generations of progress and success that he and you can be duly proud of. His insight, sense of humor, and concept of community were all part of the glue that has helped hold the military education community together for years now. He was a great guy and we will...

Margaret, my wife Diane and I have lost a very dear friend. We first met your dad and mother in Grand Forks ND back in 1971. He was the NCOIC of the Education Center and was instrumental in me being hired as a Guidance Counselor. We spent many of nights with your parents playing pinochle and enjoying their company. Please accept our sincere condolences; we have lost a great friend and person. He truly was the center of the universe with our extended Air Force Education community. He...

Dick was an inspiration to all who knew him. His caring was an example for all. He was a shining light in the Air Force Education community. We will miss him.

We in the Education community will miss your never ending care and attention to all of us Dick. You were one in a million and wil be missed. You are now good care in the hands of God.

Why does it come as a surprise when a friend discreetly leaves our company?
Is it that we counted so much on his always being there filling that important place in our lives?

For as long as Ive known Dick Davis, he was always reaching out to others, reminding us all to be and to remain aware that we are not alone on our journey.

Dick touched many of our lives and will be remembered for as long as memory is ours to hold. And when we see him...

I owe my civil service career with the Air Force to Dick as he was instrumental in helping me switch from Navy Campus at NAS JAX to Misawa AFB Japan in Jan 1991. Over the years he was always there when I needed advice or support. Although our politics differed I respected and genuinely liked him as a kind and caring person. I am deeply saddened by his demise and know he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
