To all of the Cretella kids, my deepest sympathies! Your father was one of a kind! The last time I saw him was about 3 years ago at the Pine Orchard Yacht Club. He had driven his boat over from Hotchkiss Grove and I was so impressed! Not many 90-something year olds were still driving their own boats in Long Island Sound but Dick Cretella was no ordinary man! So very sorry to hear about the loss of your dad. He had a remarkable life and raised a wonderful family. After reading his obituary it now makes perfect sense why your yard always looked so "garden magazine" worthy. I did not realize your mom had passed in 2020. So very sorry. Your mom possessed a passion for life we could all learn from. She had a special place in her heart for my brother Greg and I still have the portrait of him that she painted. .
