REED & BENOIT FUNERAL HOME INC Obituary


Richard “Dick” Feisthamel died at the Samaritan Medical Center on 3 August 2019 following a long illness, surrounded by his loving family. He lived a long fulfilling life of 82 years.


 


Mr. Feisthamel was born on November 19, 1936 in Martinsburg, New York, a son to Amos and Eva Feisthamel. He married Sharon Dingman in November 1973 and they had four children. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  He worked on the family’s farm outside Whittaker’s Falls most of his life.  He retired in the early 1990s to spend more time with his family.


 


Mr. Feisthamel was well known to the community and volunteered his time lending a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a joy to be around.


 


Mr. Feisthamel is survived by his four children, Rick and companion Patty, Ron and partner Bobbie Jo, Lisa and Roger Williams, Randy and partner Hope; and his grandchildren, Jayden, Justin (predeceased), Kelcie, Xandra, Calley, Zachery, Shaelee, Roger Jr, Kara. 


 


Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by an adopted sister Jeanette “Aunt Net” and


 


Mr. Feisthamel will be buried in a private ceremony on August 8th at Martinsburg Cemetery after calling hours.  Calling hours will be from 11:00am – 12:00pm at Reed & Benoit Funeral Home, Watertown. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

I met Dick about twenty years ago when I worked at WHA in the maintenance dept.he always had something cold for us guys on those hot summer days.Dick was one of my favorites he always had a smile and willing to help.he will be missed.My deepest sympathy.RIP dick
