CANTERBURY - Richard A. Robinson, 84, of Baptist Road died Oct. 9, 2011, at Concord Hospital.

He was born in Concord to Roland and Mildred (Stevens) Robinson.

He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II while stationed in China for two years.

He was owner operator/electrical contractor of Robie's Wiring in Canterbury for more than 60 years.

He was a member of the CB Radio Club, ABC Bowling League, Sunset Mountain Fish and Game and Merrimack County Fish and Game. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, bow hunting and rock collecting. He was member of Rock Club in Concord, Capital Mineral Club, Canterbury Volunteer Fire Department, Laconia Indian Historical Association and was known as the Keystone Cop of Jo Jo and the Clown.

He is survived by the love of his life, Janet (Pluff) Maynard Robinson; three daughters, Donna Mahoney and Chris, of Northfield; Judy Chalk, of Concord; Mary Robinson of Gilmanton; one son; Allen Robinson and his wife, Libby, of Franklin; three stepsons; Doug Maynard of Loudon; David Maynard and his wife, Texene, of Barnstead; Kevin Maynard and his wife, Judy, of Boscawen; one stepdaughter, SueLynn Thyng, of Milford, Mass.; 20 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; one brother, Roland Robinson and his wife Helen, of Concord, and his ex-wife, June Fales, of Northfield.

He is predeceased by his daughter, Betty Nelson; stepdaughter, Sherry Tuttle; two sons-in-laws, Ron Tuttle and Ed Mahoney.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of the Waters Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Canterbury.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Dear Allan, Judy, Donna and Mary and other family members,

I have such wonderful memories of when we were kids and spending much of my time at your house. Camping, riding our horses and just hanging out. I find it comforting to imagine that Robie and Betty have reunited. May they both rest in peace and may you all find solace in your memories and love for one another.
