Not sure what to say?

I still think about Ric a lot. We had some great times on the police department. He was truly a terrific friend and police brother. I pray for him every Sunday at Saint Charles.

I'll never forget Ric. He was my partner on the police department for many years and we always maintained a good relationship even when we were in different divisions. He was a good police officer, a good man and a good friend to all that knew him. I will always miss him.

Actually I still think of Ric very often and pray for him every Sunday. We had a great working relationship and he was certainly an excellent partner on the police department. I miss you buddy.

Final Picture to post

Another picture from our days together a children.

Rick, rest in peace. My family grew up near Richard's family in rural Portland. Rick and I were part of a group of 11 kids that went through all 12 grads together so of course we were friends. We used to set on the same seat on the school bus. My father was the school bus driver.
His older brother Tom and my older brother Phillip also were in the same grade. Lost track of each other after high school. My sympathies to the family. Picture is from around 1960.

What can I say about Ric. He was one of my best friends. We were partners many times on the police department and spent many hours together when we were off duty. One thing was we played racket ball all the time and were really well matched. Each one winning equally. There were so many interesting and good times when we were working together in operations, the detective bureau and vice and narcotics. Many of them I could relate here and many I don't dare. Just saying. He was a great partner...

To Rick's family: I just learned of Rick's passing at mass this morning. He was the most dependable usher we had, and a very nice man. He will be missed by many until we meet him again. My prayers are with you.

Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for they rest from their labor and their works do follow them. (Rev.14:13) Eternal rest grant unto Rick, O Lord and let thy perpetual light shine upon him. And may the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Comfort with your Spirit and grant consolation to all who know and love Rick, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen +
