'Rick James' August 6, 2004, of Los Angeles, CA, dearest father of Tyenza James-Matthews, Ricardo 'Rick' Matthews and Tazman Johnson; grandfather of Jasmine and Charisma; brother of Carmen Johnson-Sims, Camille (Arthur) Hudson, LeRoi Johnson, Cheryl Johnson, Alberta 'Bertie' Johnson, Penny Gladden and the late William Johnson. The family will be present on Saturday from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, at St. John the Baptist Church, 184 Goodell Street, Buffalo, NY. Funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. I love you uncle James, AKA Uncle Rick! December and February was hard as always. It was hard enough loosing you, then aunt Teena left to be with you. I still remember every valuable gem that you taught me, and I'm carrying the legacy forward with dignity and respect, just like I did when you were here in the physical.
