Our hearts go out to you and your family at this difficult time. May God comfort you and your family our prayers are with you.

I am heartbroken to read of Rita's death. We became pen pals several years ago after she met with my mom to travel to a reunion in St. Louis. I had dreams of meeting her family, as she talked fondly of you. She was such a dear person, with a tremendous sense of humor that came out in her letters. I will miss the happiness I felt when I'd see a letter from her in my mailbox. Please know that she had boundless love for her family.

Aunt Rita was a great listener and had a wonderful sense of humor. Because of her background in dietetics, she was able to relate especially well to stories from my first career, in medicine, and my second career, as a personal chef.
