Robert Martin Obituary
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 68 years, Rose Trahan Martin; a son, Robert Earl Martin, Jr. & wife Lori; a daughter, Barbara Ann Broussard; daughter-in-law, Wanette Martin; brother, Adonis Martin, Jr. & wife Mable, and sister, Ruth Delome & husband Nolton.
Robert Earl is also survived by six precious grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will commence at Hixson Funeral Home in Welsh on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The Scripture Reading will be 6:00 p.m. with the Rosary Recital at 6:30 p.m. The visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday, January 11, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until procession to the church at 12:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh at 1:00 p.m. Father Charles McMillian will be the Celebrant. The Committal Service will follow at the church cemetery.
Robert Earl was preceded in death by a son, Lawrence Ray Martin; parents, Adonis Martin, Sr and Alice Mallet Martin; and a son-in-law, E.J. Broussard.

Our deepest condolences for the passing of Mr. Robert Earl. I was away at work when I heard of it. He was more than just a friend to me. He was more like family because every time you'd see him he always made you feel good at the end of the conversation,especially seeing ya'll after mass on Sunday. It was a good way to start off the day. We will truly miss him ,Mrs. Rose. Praying for you and yours, Ron (tang)Cheryle Abshire
