Robert "Bob" Moloney

Moloney, Robert Bob92, was born in Brooklyn, NY on Nov. 15, 1921 to Michael and Delia Fahy Moloney, who emigrated from Ireland. Bob served in WWII as Second Lieutenant, Air Corps. as a rated pilot, and upon discharge for the State of New York as Second Lieutenant Air Force New York National Guard. For his service to his country he was awarded the Gordon Henry Award, the American Campaign Medal, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Bob was a career New York City police officer. He began on the motorcycle squad and retired as Sergeant. He lived and raised his family in Syosset, LI, NY. When he relocated to FL, he worked for several years at Vistana Resort in customer relations. He is survived by daughters Gail A. Moloney, Longwood, FL, Donna Tivald, Timonium, MD, son Craig Moloney, Diamond Bar, CA, daughter-in-law, Gail L. Moloney, Huntington, NY, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and devoted companion, Shirley Bramlett. He was pre-deceased by his beloved wife of 53 years, Theresa Moloney, his son, Robert T. Moloney, his parents and four brothers. Viewing will be at the National Cremation and Burial Society, 7565 Red Bug Lake Rd., Oviedo, Mon., Apr. 21 5-7PM. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church, 1020 Montgomery Rd., Altamonte Springs, at 10AM. Interrment at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Gotha.
