Robert (Bob) H. White passed away on July 26, 2015 peacefully in his home of 51 years in Long Beach, CA.
He was born in Rucker, MO in 1919 to James and Pearl. He entered the Coast Guard at the early age of 17 years where he served as a chief radio operator for 9 years.
After serving his country he became a traveling Driver?s License examiner for the DMV and later a manager for 33 years.
In his life he enjoyed traveling with his family, building a family home, collecting HO model trains (?rolling stock?) as he would say, and was an avid 49?er fan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary of almost 70 wonderful married years, daughters Pam and Cindy, grandchildren Howie, Mikey and Melissa, 7 great grandchildren, a sister in law Carmen, and many nieces and nephews.
In his life he showed his family and the people around him what love, and strength, and kindness looked like. He will be missed by all of us.
In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude?s Children?s Hospital, St. Liz Hospic, Inc., Long Beach Rescue Mission or Precious Life Shelter in Los Alamitos. Funeral Service Friday at 11 am at Luyben Dilday Mortuary with Entombment at Ocean View Cemetery in Eureka, CA.

I saw your dad's obituary in the paper...I'm so sorry for you loss. I wasn't able to attend the service and I'm not sure how long you will be in town, but would love to see you. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I pray you find peace and comfort in your memories.
