Robert James Woody

Robert and I were team mates on the Baylor Law School Mock Trial team mentioned in the obituary. He was a fun, warm and talented person and lawyer. After winning the National Championship Tournament, our coach rewarded the team with a memorable trip to Mexico City during Spring Break. Lots of fun stories came from that. Looking for a church to go to. Went to Reconciliation for 12 years. He baptized my grandson who was later an acolyte for 7 years.

Robert became pastor of Reconciliation one year after my joining the music ministry there in 2000. He improved our community in many ways. He made it a truly welcoming church family. He inspired me and many others to be more Christlike. He showed us that the way to peace in the world is through loving everyone as Christ loves us.

I wasn´t a regular church goer for 40 years, after attending a service we never left. Thanks for bringing me back to church Robert

I will always remember Robert´s kindness and support to me as an AD Army chaplain. He extended his love, support of me and my spouse and professional respect of sharing his pulpit. We are blessed to have known him.

Robert and I were in KOT together. I was two years behind him. Robert was always Mr Positive and brought joy, energy, encouragement, and grace wherever he was. He was a brother I admired. May God carry you during the days and time ahead and give you peace, comfort and joyous memories of a servant who lived life well and fully.

As a fellow KOT member at Baylor for a couple of years Robert and I became friends. A good stand up man as evidenced by his life work. He will be sorely missed.

I have nothing but beautiful things to say about Robert. He helped me carry on through one of the worst periods of my life. He had a dry sense of humor that could leave you in stitches. He tattled on himself in in his sermons. He was the humblest person I have ever known. The best word I can use to describe him is Mensch. Robert was truly a Mensch.
