Ron Beaver

Ronald Dewayne Beaver, an uncommon man and local Camden town son, passed away on 5 August 2017 at Chi St. Vincent in Little Rock Arkansas after an initial heart attack.

Ron was of the sixth generation Beaver family to live in Ouachita County being a descendant of Hezekiah Beaver whom had settled here in 1848 from South Carolina. Ron's parents are William Albert "Woody" Beaver and Ella Jeanette "Nette" Young. He had no siblings. He was born 10 August 1953 at the old Camden Hospital on a hot Arkansas day where the Air Conditioning did not happen to be working. This seemingly influenced his life later!

Ron played Track and Football in school and he was proud to tell people he graduated High School in 1971 with the first integrated class at Camden. Go Panthers! He went on to Henderson University where it looks like he had many fine fraternity brothers but majored in Hunting and Fishing! He went to work as a lineman for Entergy. Showing real talent with his hands, he eventually earned licenses and certificates in the trades for Electrician, Welder, Boiler, HVACR, etc. He met and married a young woman with her own child, now known as Shannon Beaver, together they had one daughter Bekah Beaver. Ron is also survived by Bekah's son Kaden Manning of Texas. 

Eventually, Ron went into the family's Air Conditioning Business -Beaver's Service with his Father. He developed a taste for travel, contracting his many talents out where he ended up working in 23 countries around the world. Finally ending this phase of his career in Kazakhstan as the Director of Maintenance at the IkeyBasduz power company.

During his early travels he met and married Misty Shaun Wilimore, also an employee at the time of the United States Embassy of Moscow, Russia. Together, they had one daughter - Ruby Rhaun Beaver and one son - Deverl Brett "DB" Beaver. After traveling around the world, working with his family happily in tow, Ronnie Beaver moved back to Camden for his retirement.

He couldn't stand it! He loved teaching students about the maintenance trades and was good at it. Soon he came out of retirement for a perfect job as a teacher of maintenance at SAU Tech which suited him to a Tee! Ronald D. Beaver was a wonderful son, a great husband, a loving father, a good neighbor and a caring man. We are sorry to see him leave our lives, but are very proud to have known him.

Funeral services for Ron will be 10:00AM Saturday, August 12, 2017 at First United Methodist Church with burial in Holleman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
