Dear Pat, Tom, Pam, Rose, Paula & Betsy,

My sister Helen contacted me with the sad news. Many fond memories of growing up "on the hill" came flooding back. The ball games in the street, the hours at the pool, the sled riding, all wonderful childhood memories. I remember most your parent's love and nuturing support for all the kids in the neighborhood. May their example continue to be a lesson for all of us to emulate and their love always be our grace.

Pam, You are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. No matter how old you are, it is very difficult to lose a parent. Your mom lived a long and beautiful life and is at peace now.

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Her open heart and smile were always so welcoming. Your parents and family meant a lot to me and my family while I was growing up. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Sorry for your lose, many years spent with your family, may your mom rest in peace.

I stopped at church on Thursday morning and said a short prayer for your mom – the light was streaming in the stained glass window and casting its light on a big bouquet of flowers in front of the alter – so fitting – at least that is how I think of your mom – always with beautiful flowers and plants.

She was so kind and generous to us and has forever influenced those who spent time with her family and in her home.

My thoughts are with all of you.

My dear Rose, thank you so very much for all you gave and taught me. I am so grateful to you, especially for your love and care. Requiescat in pace et in amore.
