Rose M. Frisch
Rose (Rosa) M. Frisch, 88, of Northampton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2014, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Stephen Moonie Frisch, who died January 21, 2010. Rose was born August 31, 1925 in Northampton and she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Milisists) Geosits. She was employed at Air Products for several years and then Rose went to work in various garment factories. She was a member of Queenship of Mary Church and the Altar & Rosary Society. Rose sang with the church Hungarian Choir for many years. She was known as the Longush Lady, as she would provide longish for the church festivals. Rose was a member of the St. Peter & Paul Hungarian Society. Survivors: Daughter, Lucille, wife of Gregory Sommers, of Northampton; son, Stephen Frisch and his wife, Corliss, of Northampton; five grandchildren, Kristin Sommers, Michael Sommers and his wife, Jody, Eric Sommers and his wife, Corey, Stephen Frisch, and John Frisch; three great-grandchildren, Oliver Sommers, Kaleigh Sommers, and Brody Sommers; two sisters, Mary, wife of Michael Kopach, of Nazareth, Christina Deutsch of Macungie; sisters-in-law, Theresa Geosits and Helen Frisch; nieces; nephews; and cousins. Rose was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Geosits; and brother-in-law, Robert Deutsch. Services: A Burial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 8, at 11:30 a.m., in the Queenship of Mary Church, 1324 Newport Ave., Northampton. Family and friends may call Saturday, 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Burial will follow in the Our Lady of Hungary Parish Cemetery.
