Samuel Denmark

The last time I saw Mr. Denmark was when I went to pick up my mother's profit sharing check at his office in the old Rothschild store in downtown Hammond.

Mr. Denmark kept me there for over an hour telling me all about his girls. He said that he should have closed the Hammond store earlier, but he wanted my mother, Pauline White, and the others to decide when to retire on their own.

Mr. Denmark may have been their boss but he was well loved and respected by his staff....

I knew Sam Denmark through several non-profit organizations. He had accumulated wealth in his lifetime and he demonstrated an uncommon generosity.

May time and loving memories bring the family comfort and peace.

My sympathies for your loss. Sam was a very dedicated person and I enjoyed working with him for years as a member of the Downtown Hammond Council.
May your many, many memories of your Sam be of comfort in this very difficult time.
