It is the end of an era in the Hope Street-Rochambeau neighborhood. Saul was a fine man and a good friend; he was always available and gave us good advice. We will miss him. Our condolences to all his family.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.

To the Spitz and Weiss Families:

We are all so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved "Pa".

He will be missed by many. May you all be comforted by all the time you were blessed to have together and all the wonderful memories.

The Board of Directors of the Summit Neighborhood Association extends its deepest sympathies. Saul was a founding Board member of our organization and an Advisory Board member in recent years. We will miss his wise counsel and good service.

Mr. Spitz sold my husband and I our house on 6th Street in the Summit neighborhood. When he showed us our house on 6th Street, he told us we would love it, and we did!
We have always viewed him as a very integral part of our wonderful neighborhood, and have waved many times as we passed his office on Hope Street. My husband saw Mr Spitz often at SNA meetings and events, and we loved his attachment to the neighborhood we live in. I know he missed his wife greatly.

I thought that Saul would live forever. He was a great guy. We had a wonderful respectful relationship. I will miss him. It is hard to believe that I retired before him.
