Not sure what to say?

A very sad day indeed that Scott is no longer with us. I worked with Scott for many years at Medco and he was a true friend and mentor and inspiration. His kindness and ability to lift people up were just two of his many attributes. I will miss him greatly.

Group of 10 Trees

Scott was the best boss an administrative asst could have. So many wonderful memories at Medco under your leadership.

To Lisa and family, you’ve lost a wonderful husband and father. May the wealth of memories you have carry you forward each day. God bless you!

Scott was always about the journey rather than the destination. A 2 hour trip from Corcoran to my cabin in Brainerd would take three hours as Scott had to visit a favorite bakery in Isle to buy pastries for all the golf guys. A weekend in a rented fish on Upper Red Lake was highlighted by Scott preparing Fresh King Crab Legs for dinner on Saturday Night.
Scott`s Faith, Character, and Love of Family had him destined for God in Heaven. His journey, all to short, was full of adventure and...

Lisa, Pam and families, Russ and Jan

We are saddened to hear of Scott's passing. May God comfort you at this time.

To the Gilyard family, we were so sad to hear of Scott's passing, our condolences and prayers go out to you. Although we only met him once for a brief evening it was apparent there was something very special about him. His kindness and generosity was warm and welcoming. Learning of his bout with leukemia we knew he had to be a fighter. we were compelled to listen to the YouTube presentation he gave to Gustavus students on leadership and journey lines, it was full of powerful lessons everyone...

To the whole Gilyard family: I’m so sorry for your loss. Scott was an incredible man.

Something I’d like to share: Even as he was obviously very sick he wanted to volunteer his time to be on the City of Corcoran Charter Commission - and we appointed him earlier this year. I think it says so much about his character that he was still willing (and excited) to give back to his community when he was not in good health.

I can’t possibly say enough good things about Scott,...

Lisa,
I am so sorry to hear of Scott's passing. He and my sister were in the same class. He was always so nice and always had a smile. Last time I saw him was at the Class of '79 reunion in 2019 when I was at registration. You both walked up to the table and he said "Hello Louise, how are you?" You were smiling because you knew who I was. I said "Hi Scott, I'm her sister." We both had a chuckle. May you and all of Scott's family feel the love of Jesus surround you and though grieving,...

Scott was always one of the nicest guys you could ever meet. Always had a kind word to say. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
