As a nurse you take care of so many patients that you can't remember them all. Then there are those that leave an imprint on your heart that you will never forget. Shaina was one of those people. I had the priveledge of being a part of Shaina's care while waiting for her 3rd transplant. I remember the day she left the hospital after she had received her transplant, nurses lining the exit to applaud her as her mom pushed her through the doors in a wheelchair.
