Forever will the smiles and laughter be in our memories when we remember Shawn Haines.
With loved ones there to say goodbye, Shawn, who was just 22 years old, passed away at his home in Leesburg on Thursday, April 9, 2009 after a brave struggle with Hodgekins Lymphoma.
Shawn was born on September 29, 1986 to Carl S. and Gloria (Chandler) Haines. He was raised in Leesburg, Virginia and attended Leesburg Elementary School, Simpson Middle School, Harper Park Middle School, and Stone Bridge High School.
He is survived by his parents, brother Philip Haines and sister Colleen Haines both of Leesburg, Virginia along with numerous relatives and friends.
Shawn touched many lives with his generous spirit, his laughter, and his genuine love of family and friends. His legacy will continue to affect the lives of others as time goes on.

Shawn,
The first time I saw you you were less than a year old. You melted my heart. You looked so full of love, happiness and fun. I hope you have found that place again. I'm so glad and proud of you that you touched so many lives in your time here with us. We will all miss you so much.
With a broken heart, Peter
For our Shawn,
The laughter, the smiles, the heroism, the inevitable honesty for which there is no end, will have you forever in our hearts and always remembered. From knowing someone for nearly your whole life to having just begun to know your friendship, you made everyone feel as if they had known you forever. It was an honor to give you that final thank you surrounded by your amazing family. You embodied so many astonishing qualities that will live on through the people that love you, even the stubborn ones. Although we will forever miss you, we will do our best to celebrate your life, not just the unexplainable end, as you requested P.I.M.P. "You've been traveling on this road to long, just trying to find your way back home." Welcome Home,
Put in a good word (we may need it"
Love you always, Thomas Dan, Katie and Katie, And everyone whose heart you touched.
Leesburg Presbyterian Church Preschool sends prayers to the Haines family. May Shawn bask in the joy of Gods love.
As Sojourner Truth said: I am not dying. I am going home like a shooting star. Shawn is in a better place and being embraced by God.
Much love, The Thalers
