Shirley Taylor was a unique school leader, willing to share, mentor, and help anyone who asked her. As a young principal I could trust Ms. Taylor to tell me how to avoid trouble. Later, she congratulated me on my promotion when I left the principalship. At my first meeting as an Area Superintendent, I admired a beautiful bracelet that she was wearing.
