Not sure what to say?

Skeets was a precious friend and a real hero to lots of Tallahasseans who knew him....especially those of Leon High School. My brother, Dorman Edwards, played football with him and I stopped by several times in the years since Dorman passed away to visit with Skeets. He always returned my phone calls. I was apparently away from town when he passed away and I missed my opportunity to meet his family. I extend my sympathy to each and all of you. Everyone loved your Dad.

Skeets is 'one of a kind'.Enjoyed every moment. Gave his very best in every 'Game'he played.A great athlete..probably as good as any athlete that has ever playeed in Tallassee.. great friend. What you saw was what you got from him. He was as
transparent as any human can be..The 'The Apple in his Momma'and Daddy's eye..If you ever met him..you would
never forget him..Loved his family and his four footed friends .
Heaven will be a new adventure for Skeets..The Lord will have him...

Skeets life was one that was truly well lived. Every major component throughout his life seemed to always have had an unspoken element of service to country and community. I regret not having known him better over the decades but he sure gave the world his best and a fine collection of offspring. Some people are truly handicapped by injuries, seen or unseen, but not Skeets. He once said to some of us that he was more inconvenienced than handicapped in anyway. I've kept that thought for more...

I attended FSU with Skeets and we remained close friends for many years. He had close ties with Bainbridge, Ga Strickland genealogy and my line was Climax. He was well known and liked by everyone in Tallahassee. Robert Page, Islamorada, Fla [email protected]
