I worked with Steve at Sonic for four or five years, and am shocked and saddened to hear of his passing (quite by accident, by a coworker who used to work him).

Steve trained me at Sonic and even though I was in California and he was in Penn., we were in touch often and he was a great mentor and friend. The few times we were able to get together were always memorable and fun.

Steve had a great sense of humor and duty, and was meticulous to a fault.

Its been a long time since I last saw Steve. I was a neighbor and good friends with Steve, brother Mark, and sister Becky. Steve was also good friends with my sister Pam and my mother also enjoyed their conversations. It is so sad to have someone like Steve to go so earlier in their lives. My family sends their regrets to the entire Knoll family.

I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Steve while we both at Softmart. He was a very smart, nice person with a great sense of humor.

We've lost a good man.

I worked with Steve for a few years. He was certainly a character! You could always count on him to come up with the perfect funny comment on any situation. I used to enjoy playing the occasional practical joke on (with) him and I keep finding myself thinking of all of those times. My favorite was in '02 when I got a device that would chirp like a cricket when a button on a remote was pressed. I hid it underneath the bottom drawer in his cube and would periodically make it chirp...
