Stephen Lopuszanski

So sorry to hear of the passing of mr. Lopuszanski. I loved learning how to make the pzsanky eggs with him at eastertime. I now make them with my children. I was in Chicago at the time of his viewing unfortunately. He was a great next door neighbor on Front street. My deepest sympathy to you and your families. Sincerely Karen Ushler Oprysko

I remember a Lopuszanski family that lived in Nicetown near the Ice House, vicinity of Dounton and Juniata Streets. One member of the family was an artist when it came to the painting of the houses, especially the front door. He also served as a general contractor and was excellent in his work. He did much work for us when I was growing up on Dounton Street and then later on 16th street near Stenton Park. It was a brother or son that was a ballet dancer. I don't know if it is the same family...
