Sterling was born on August 24, 1964 and passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 S. Douglas Road, Oswego, IL 60543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, 551 Boulder Hill Pass, Oswego, IL 60543. Memorials may be made to the Educational Fund for the Sullivan Children, P.O. Box 665, Oswego, IL 60543.

Ive only known Sterling for a short period of time. I played Major League Baseball for 16 years, Sterling was an impact player! Came to everyday to play, he made his teammates better. He was the guy you follow when the path wasnt very clear. Leadership and love of your fellow man has become rare in this day and time. Karen thank you for sharing Sterling. You have no idea how many people are better for know Sterling. God Bless You and your family.

Sterling and I kept in touch after our days together at Northern Trust. He always raved about his wife and kids and lit up when he told stories/updates about them. Wishing you peace and comfort during this time of grief.
