Steven Elliott, 26, of Middletown, Pa., formerly of Penn Township, left this world on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015. He was born Sept. 1, 1989, in Woodbridge, Va., a son of Greg Elliott (Cathy), of Murrysville, and Sandi Elliott, of Penn Township. Steve graduated from Penn-Trafford High School and attended Westmoreland County Community College. Steven used his drive, determination and vigor as a supervisor for UPS in New Stanton, and more recently with FedEx Freight in Middletown, Pa. Steven was an Eagle Scout with Troop 226 in Jeannette, which set the foundation for his love of the outdoors. He loved sports, enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family, watching games and demonstrating his encyclopedic knowledge of players, statistics and ranking, specifically those of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Steve (Pap) and Mary Ann (Gug) Pavlovich. In addition to his parents, Steven is survived by his brother and best friend, Michael Elliott, of Homer City; his paternal grandparents, Phillip Elliott (Alice), of Acapulco, Mexico, and Greta Kay Mohr (Jon), of Crawfordsville, Ind.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We only got to hold your hand for a short time Steven, watching you evolve into a young man full of hope, integrity and promise. We will hold you in our hearts forever. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Sacred Heart Church with Father Paul A. Lisik as celebrant. Interment will follow in Jeannette Memorial Park, Penn Township.

I was a classmate of Steve's. He was always such a nice, sweet, funny kid. I saw him a few times after graduation and we'd catch up a little. He always stayed true to the great person he was. I was so saddened by this news and it's really stuck with me. It's times like these I wish I was back home so I could have paid my respects. May he find some comfort and peace now. My deepest sympathies.

Sandi I always remember you talking with such joy about your sons. I looked forward to hear about their activities and the books they were reading. I admired you in your role as a mom. I am so sorry for your tremendous loss. You are in my prayers.

Greg and Cathy,
We are so sorry for your loss may he rest in peace.
Love you guys,
Pat and Maria Dicesere.

We spent at least one full week together every summer up until we were 18. We annoyed our leaders and tried to cause as much chaos as possible. I look back on those memories with fondness and they make me happy. When we entered adulthood we didn't keep in close touch, but we did have an incredible time while we were kids.
