Steven R. Gable

Great memories of Steven since Pierre Navarre in school together, playing at his house in summers. Always great times throughout our high school years also. Really respected Steven and enjoyed our friendship and knowing a really great man and doctor.

Hi Pat & Family, I think I mentioned to you that my wife's Barbara has Sept. 25 as her anniversary (15 years). I wish I could say things get easier, but I still have that ache every day. I've been thinking of Steve so many times in the past year. Stay strong and remember that he is resting in peace. Luke

I have been fortunate to be a Forever Learning student of Steve´s for the past several years. I have benefited so much from his wisdom, good humor and wonderful personality. I will miss his smiling face on the Wednesday mornings to come. My condolences to his family and gratitude for sharing this special man with us.

I am overcome by the terrible news of Steve's passing. We met at ND 55 years ago and have been friends ever since. We watched each other's families grow. Every year we met in Gloucester, MA, for a summer reunion. Fortunately, we were able to get together this past July and catch up. My heart goes out to Pat, Andy, Margaret and John and all of the family. Steve will always be in my heart.

1968-69 Steve and I were next door neighbors in Howard Hall. Steve was brilliant, funny and a fantastic. raconteur. He was also very talented writer and a great friend. I'll miss him very much.

I had the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Gable for several years. He was such a delightful and fun person and did so much good for so many people. His knowledge of trivia was amazing and I'll never forget him regaling me with the story of the origins of Gin. May his soul RIP and his loved ones be soothed by their great life-long memories of Dr. Gable.

Pat, I´m so very sorry for your loss. Steve was a wonderful man who did a lot of good for many. Condolences to your family.
